About
Built on the United Nations Transparency Protocol (UNTP), an open-source data protocol for verifiable supply chain data exchange, the RBTP is the Responsible Business Alliance’s industry extension for the electronics, automotive and related industries. It helps enable companies throughout full supply chains to issue secure, digitally-signed records about their facilities and products, maintain control over their data and disclosure, and allow any companies they share information with to verify it instantly.

• Respond once. Share one link or QR code with every customer instead of filling in separate templates for each request.
• Verify instantly. Records are digitally signed, so recipients can confirm who issued them and whether they are current, without email chains.
• Retain control of your data. You decide what to share and with whom. Data about your facilities or products can be encrypted and shared only with trusted parties.
• Keep your tools. RBTP is an open and platform-neutral data protocol. Any system that can exchange UNTP-aligned data can read it, with no lock-in to a single vendor.
• Get ahead of changing market expectations. Prepare your organization to provide verifiable, machine-readable supply chain evidence.
RBTP uses a family of linked digital credentials, each answering a simple question:
• Digital Facility Record: What is this site and what does it do?
• Digital Conformity Credential: Has a sustainability or due diligence claim been independently assessed? (for example, an RBA VAP or RMAP result)
• Digital Product Passport: What is this product or batch made of?
• Digital Traceability Event: What happened to it, and when?
• Digital Identity Anchor: Can I trust who issued this?
Because these credentials link together, a buyer can follow a product back to the facility that made it, that facility’s assessments, and the steps along the way.
My RBTP Credentials is the RBA’s tool for creating and sharing Digital Facility Records (DFRs): a verified digital identity for your facility that you issue once, control yourself, and share with any customer by link or QR code. It replaces repetitive document requests and gives your customers data they can verify instantly.
The tool is open to suppliers at any tier and in any value chain, so buyers can ask their entire supply base for one standard, verifiable record, and every supplier can respond. With the My RBTP Credentials Portal, your company can:
Review the RBTP Digital Facility Record (DFR) Starter Guide to learn how you can issue your Digital Facility quickly and easily and visit My RBTP Credentials to get started.
Issue a Digital Facility Record in My RBTP Credentials and share it with your customers, whether or not you are an RBA member. To build on that with verified VAP or RMAP results and the full RBA toolkit, explore RBA membership.
Ask your suppliers to issue Digital Facility Records so you receive standardized, verifiable data across every tier. Because the tool is open to all facilities, you can make this a standard request across your entire supply chain.
The RBA’s Software Implementers’ Network helps vendors, adapt their tools to exchange RBTP data.
