About
The RBA Emissions Management Tool (EMT) is a centralized greenhouse gas platform, free for RBA members and those with RBA-Online accounts, used to collect, calculate, and share Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions data across the supply chain, at scale. The EMT reduces the data collection burden for RBA members and their suppliers by standardizing requests and enabling data sharing, improving quality, and streamlining the emissions reporting process. EMT data provides deeper visibility into Scope 3 emissions, enabling members to move beyond reporting to support decarbonization action.

Developed by the RBA in consultation with its members, the EMT enables more efficient and transparent emissions reporting. The EMT supports greenhouse gas data collection across the supply chain through the collection or calculation of an emissions inventory, the ability to allocate GHG emissions to customers, and built-in analytics that support actionable insights.
KEY BENEFITS
Reduces data collection burden for members and suppliers
Strengthens preparedness for evolving regulatory and customer expectations
Supports greater response rates and data completeness
Enables higher-quality data outputs to support product-level analyses, disclosures, and sustainability initiatives
CORE FEATURES
The emissions inventory helps organizations collect greenhouse gas data and includes reporting and calculation capabilities, supporting users across a range of maturity levels. The tool can also be used at company and/or facility levels, providing options in data granularity.

Provides standardized data collection that improves comparability across responses and enables suppliers to submit a single response that can be shared across multiple customers, reducing duplicate requests and overall reporting burdens
Offers flexible pathways to either self-report emissions data or calculate emissions using built-in emission factors, supporting organizations at different levels of maturity and reporting readiness
Features an intuitive interface that simplifies data submission, including the ability to download an Excel file for offline completion and reupload
The EMT includes an allocation feature that enables respondents to easily and consistently attribute emissions to their customers.

Reduces complexity by providing a simple way for supplies to attribute emissions to their customers
Gives RBA members visibility into allocated emissions values from their suppliers while maintaining the confidentiality of business relationships
Establishes guardrails that support consistent allocation practices and helps minimize the risk of double counting across customer reporting
The EMT has built-in analytics, in addition to raw data download. The in-platform dashboards, progress tracking, and exportable reports can support internal analysis, customer reporting, and broader supply chain GHG management.

Provides clear and up-to-date visibility into emissions data through dashboards
Enables flexible analysis and reporting through exportable reports and filtered views across scopes, facilities, suppliers, and geographies
Supports consistent analysis over time, enabling year-over-year tracking and broader use of emissions data across decarbonization activities
The EMT is available to RBA members and their suppliers.
The EMT is free for RBA members and suppliers with RBA-Online accounts.
No, RBA members can add as many suppliers as they like. Suppliers must have an active RBA-Online subscription.
The EMT itself is only available through RBA-Online and only to RBA members and their suppliers, but EMT data and reports can be exported and shared externally.
