On April 8, the U.S. Department of Labor and the RBA co-hosted an event in Washington, D.C. on international forced and child labor. The event, "Built to Compete: What U.S. Businesses Need to Eliminate Labor Abuse in Global Supply Chains," featured opening remarks from Deputy Secretary of Labor Keith Sonderling and Undersecretary of Labor Ana Guevara, followed by a panel with business leaders, including RBA CEO Rob Lederer, on responsible global supply chains. The RBA discussed how it supports members and their suppliers in tackling global labor issues. The event also included recent international child labor and forced labor reporting from DOL’s Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB) and a demonstration of DOL tools for the business community.
